The Great Singapore Duck Race is organized by Festival Square Circle. Diakonos Productions is the licensee which hold the rights to organize the Duck Race in Asia.

The first ever duck race was brought to Asia and held at the Singapore River in 1998.

The Great Singapore Duck Race has won multiple international and local awards and also set the World Guinness Book of Records for largest number of rubber ducks ever raced out of over 200 events round the world.

Past Duck Races in Singapore:

Duck Race 2003

Presented by bods.bodynits, 70,000 rubber duckies were sent racing down the Singapore River on November 17.

Funds raised through adoption sales of the rubber duckies amounted to S$700,000, which went in aid of six beneficiaries - As-Salaam YWMA Family Support Centre, Boys’ Town, City Harvest Community Services, Lions Home for the Elders, Make-A-Wish® Foundation Singapore and Yong-en Care Centre.

The event was sponsored by Fish & Co. and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board.

Duck Race 2002

Setting a new world record in 2002, more than 123,000 ducks took to the waters again in Singapore Million Dollar Duck Race 2002, despite the gloomy economy.

Held on Sunday, November 24, at the Singapore River, it raised S$1.23 million benefiting four charities which included - The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, The Cancer Institute, Metta Hospice Care and Touch Community Services.

The sponsors were bods.bodynits, Citibank, Samsung, Millenia Walk and Caltex.

Duck Race 2001

Equaling the world record set in 2000, 100,000 ducks took to the waters again in The Straits Times Million Dollar Duck Race 2001, held on Sunday, December 2, at the Singapore River.

A total of S$1,000,000 was raised this year benefiting three non-profit organisations - Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE), The Spastic Children's Association of Singapore (SCAS) and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

The sponsors were Citibank, Samsung and Millenia Walk.

Duck Race 2000

Singapore shattered the world record by racing the largest number of ducks at 100,000 at The Straits Times Million Dollar Duck Race 2000, held on Sunday, November 12, at the Singapore River.

Presented by The Straits Times and sponsored by Citibank, eWorld of Sports, M1 and Tricon, a total of S$1,000,000 was raised for Touch Community Services.

Duck Race 1999

Presenter Radio Corporation of Singapore (RCS) together with Shell, Standard Chartered, Giordano, King Koil and Best sponsored the second annual race, racing 62,000 ducks on November 22.

The funds collected were donated to five beneficiaries - Lions Home for the Elders, Singapore Children's Society, Singapore Millenial Trust, Singapore Sports Council for the Disabled and The Singapore Scout Association.

Duck Race 1998

The Singapore Red Cross Society presented the first inaugural Great Singapore Duck Race in October 1998.

Hand-in-hand with sponsors Peugeot and Epson, a total of 50,000 ducks were adopted with the charity fund collected donated to the Singapore Red Cross Society.
